Job Description
The IT Technician Specialist I provides expert-level support to client end user environments locally onsite as well as virtual regional support for our European sites.
As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Responsibilities
1. Deliver exceptional customer service
2. Performs the installation, repair and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related systems.
3. Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements.
4. Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers.
5. New user desk setup/take down – monitors, docking station, cable wiring…etc.
6. Computer equipment maintenance – Hardware/software update and clean up
7. Mobile phone distribution and support with mobile device management software.
8. Hardware shipment receiving and distribution – Keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, docking station, etc.
9. Hardware troubleshooting – Keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, docking station, etc.
10. Hardware inventory management
11. Network troubleshooting – network ports, ethernet cables
12. Software troubleshooting
13. Manage work queue in ServiceNow
14. May assist Network Administrator or other IT team members
15. Additional tasks as assigned by the IT manager
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
1. You must have 4+ years demonstrable skills & experience as a Level 2 - 3 service desk technician in a corporate environment.
2. Experience with Windows 7, 10, & 11
3. Experience with MacOS and iOS
4. Experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
5. Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, SCCM
6. Experience with ticketing systems
7. Experience with computer imaging.
8. Experience with video conferencing systems.
9. Experience with security software such as Multi-factor authentication, Antivirus, web filtering, encryption, etc.
10. Good verbal and written communication skills
11. Professional and courteous demeanor.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
13. Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
14. A+, Network+, and MCP certification are a plus
