Senior Design Engineering Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Design Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6 to 12 people and develop RF Front-End-Modules and RF discrete products for the IoT, automotive and broad markets.  While based in Ottawa, you will collaborate with both our local and international multi-disciplinary engineering community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6-12 people designing RF IC dies and RF modules for the IoT, automotive and broad markets
  • Responsible for the development of products from specification negotiation to release to production
  • Interface with support teams such as analog, layout, packaging, reliability and test in order to complete the product development on time and within specification
  • Mentor and develop team members

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree minimum with at least 8 years of RF IC or Module product related experience
  • Proven history of releasing semiconductor products to the market
  • Strong experience developing RF products including functions such as switches, PAs, LNAs or RF filters. 
  • Expertise designing RF IC circuits on silicon (bulk CMOS, SOI or SiGe) or III-V
  • Familiar with packaging technologies including flip chip, WLCSP, QFN and Multi-Chip-Module.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated project management and talent management skills.  Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and motivate engineering talent, define and set deliverables, plan resources, manage schedule, drive design methodology improvement, and achieve desired results
  • Familiarity with IATF automotive flow is a plus

The typical base pay range for this role is currently CAD $129,000 - $232,000 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
