Description

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled PCB Rework and Assembly Technician to support our engineering team in the development of cutting-edge RF Front-End Modules. In this role, you will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in wireless technology, contributing directly to the development and delivery of next-generation mobile solutions.

This is a hands-on position ideal for a technician with deep experience in logic board rework, fine-pitch soldering, and precision assembly. You will play a critical role in supporting engineering development, debugging, and RF testing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rework and assembly of complex multi-layer PCBs used in mobile devices.
  • Solder and rework fine-pitch passive components and flip chips under a microscope.
  • Support RF Front-End Module debugging at both the board and module level.
  • Provide technical support to engineers developing next-generation wireless technologies.
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair logic boards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and traceability of customer property, tools, and parts.
  • Communicate technical issues and repair processes clearly with engineering teams.
  • Follow ESD protocols and maintain detailed documentation and compliance records.
  • Stay current with mobile technology trends and advanced repair techniques.
  • Operate RF test equipment (e.g., VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators) as needed.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manual PCB rework and assembly.
  • Proven expertise in soldering and reworking high-density logic boards.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex PCB designs.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and RF testing procedures.
  • Knowledge of mobile device architecture and repair best practices.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $29.33 - $50.96 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
