The RF Design Engineering Co-Op will be involved in the development of cutting edge products for wireless mobile systems.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, simulation and testing of MCM front-end modules, duplexer matching for best insertion loss and isolation, matching network and HBT PA design and improvement for optimized PA performance.

2. Simulating/validating performance in a multi-chip module environment.

3. Block-level design and simulation to optimize performance and establish correlation between measurement and simulation.

4. Analysis of measurement data and carry out further experiments based on it.

5. Tuning RF front end modules in the lab.

6. Deep diving into current technical challenge either in simulation or lab debugging, and take the root cause analysis with multiple improvement paths.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD (strongly preferred) or MS program studying Electrical Engineering
  • Must return to school after completing this Co-Op (note: we will not consider students who have already graduated, please do not apply if you already graduated)
  • Firm grasp of RF/Microwave concepts as well as sound PA fundamentals (have taken at least one RF/Microwave course)
  • Deep understanding S parameter, passive network matching and lumped network design as well as insights into distributed networks.
  • Knowledge of EM simulation methodology, ADS, HFSS experience
  • Working knowledge of Network Analyzer and/or Spectrum Analyzer is a plus
  • Microsoft office skills including Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Candidate should be a self-starter with strong communication skils
