Job Description

Skyworks is looking to further enhance its Bay Area sales team with the addition of a Sales Account Manager. Primary responsibilities will be front line sales management, selling Skyworks’ extensive product portfolio into a set of assigned accounts in the Bay Area.  The position will report to the Director of Sales.

Skyworks product portfolio is extensive and diverse and covers the following applications:

  • WiFi, 802.11ac and 802.11ax for Networking, Set-Top- Box and Access Points.
  • IoT markets, Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, LoRA, Sigfox for connected home and smart city.
  • Automotive, Smart Energy, Cellular telematics, V2X, RKE and Infotainment.
  • Infrastructure, Base station, Small Cell and Connectivity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for all Sales activities, including sales strategy, new business (pipeline) development and relationship management at assigned accounts 
  • Drive design in efforts during all phases of sales process: device selection, design, prototype, and production
  • Execute account strategy to meet or exceed annual and quarterly revenue and design targets, along with business objectives
  • Provide first line field interface with customer, along with building executive relationships at all levels of the account
  • Clearly articulate (and escalate, as needed) customer needs, along with industry trends to sales management and product lines
  • Develop, maintain, and hit Forecast at assigned accounts

Job Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the Semiconductor market including customers, markets, applications and competitors.
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Self-starter with initiative and will to succeed
  • A natural communicator developing relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to solve basic technical issues or seek proper resource
  • Needs to possess excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills 
  • Must demonstrate ability to address multiple product lines and product segments
  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of OEM Sales experience in semiconductor industry in Bay Area 
  • Proven strategic selling success managing complex multi-national accounts with US and APAC locations 
  • Wireless Technology sales experience desired
