Job Description

In this position, you will be joining the successful and energetic Broad Markets Marketing team at Skyworks.  You will be responsible for managing and growing an existing portfolio of business within the Carrier Segment within the Consumer group.  This marketing position has responsibility for all aspects of the strategy, business planning, and products targeting the dynamic and fast growing carrier based consumer access markets.   The scope of responsibilities include new product definition, business case generation, promotion, pricing and associated go to market strategies.   Additional supporting activities include overall market segment modeling, tracking segment trends and dynamics, competitive analysis, R&D investment recommendations and M&A activities. This high visibility role will assume responsibility for a market dominant product line and drive continued growth in the segment, expanding our content footprint and leveraging the broad product portfolio of Skyworks.
You will work collaboratively with the field sales, application engineering and internal Business Units to develop winning product roadmaps and associated strategies.
Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with a team of high performing product marketing individuals driving continued dominance in the Consumer access market segment.  Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Manage, mentor and grow a top-notch product marketing team promoting a culture that reflects Skyworks values. Set stretch goals to create outstanding performance, promote an inclusive environment, and strengthen global team spirit within and across other business units while supporting a customer-centric culture within the team.
  • Responsible for the overall market segment business planning and performance.
  • Partner with Business Units responsible for product development to create “buy-in” to the segment strategy and required development roadmap, align on development priorities, schedules and risks.
  • Ensure that product justifications are well researched, justified and structured to gain maximum ROI for Skyworks and market penetration growth.
  • Set Roadmaps and business direction, drive customer / market development activities through a close working relationship with sales activities.
  • Drive product collateral and product support documentation for customer facing activities
  • Assist in defining account strategies; driving engagement through the discovery, evaluation, price negotiation and design win process.
  • Regularly interacts with executive and/or significant customers. Interactions commonly involve customer negotiations or influencing and persuading other senior-level managers.
  • Maximize pricing and content to drive value creation – this will involve making pragmatic and realistic choices on what to initiate, drive stronger, and defocus. Drive product portfolio top-line growth and GM%
  • Prepare research, communication materials and presentations for the senior leadership detailing operational performance, KPIs and investment needs.


 

Experience and Education

 

You should possess an MSEE with MBA preferred. Fifteen or more years of marketing or business development in the with semiconductor industry exp.

  • Strong business acumen in a technically complex marketplace with exposure to multi-channel, multi-functional experiences in P&L Management Product Management

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $160,600$318,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
