Job Description

  • Interested individual will participate in Skyworks automation projects for productivity, quality improvement and support our mission to be best in class filter manufacturer.  

  • He / She will be responsible for implementing Factory Automation Systems comprising of in-house developed, customized solutions such as Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) & off-the shelf product to the production floor. 

  • He / She will be working closely with Production, Engineering comprising Process, Development & Equipment, IT to troubleshoot and resolve Customized Equipment’s or Systems issues raised. 

  • He / She will also work closely with Engineering comprising Process & Equipment & external solution provider to introduce & qualify Automation projects that improves quality control & operational flow. 

  • Responsible for assigned projects such as Smart Factory initiatives, Robotics such as Autonomous Robot Handler, Manual handling Elimination & Metrology evaluation, tests, and implementation. Define sustenance and scaling up to support manufacturing operations. 

  • Actively engage with production, engineering teams & external solution providers where necessary to implement Automation projects and achieve implementation target / KPI. 

  • Attend systems issues, perform troubleshooting, and provide corrective actions and preventive solutions. 

  • Identify system enhancement opportunities, propose improvement plan, and implement to the production environment. 

  • Prepare project proposals, return on investment assessment & technical details (Be it New project or improvement plan) for review and submission for CAPEX request where necessary.  

  • Provide support to engineering team to assist them in the projects implementation and push for adoption / usage of systems in their day-to-day work. 

  • Create and document best practice on using automations systems for end user. 

  • Manage assets that fall under automation team responsibility. 

  • Actively demonstrate a passion for continuous learning. 

  • Any Other ad hoc duties as assigned. 

 

Job Requirements

•    Experience with handling projects.
•    Positive Mindset & ability to conceptualise cost effective solution
•    Fast learner for new systems with minimum supervision 
•    Good communication and documentation skills
•    Strong and systemic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
•    Good Team Player and able to work independently

 

Following Requirements are a plus:
•    Attended any formal Project Management courses
•    Basic Machine operational technical knowledge
•    Have hands on experience on Equipment maintenance / repair.
•    Knowledge on JMP or Minitab
•    Basic knowledge on SPC
•    Experience in drafting flow charts
•    Experience with Robotics, AI & Machine learning application
