Do you want to push the performance boundaries of RFIC switches and LNAs? Do you want to drive world class RF performance that will be built into billions of cell phones connecting billions of people around the world? Do you want to introduce new RFIC technologies that will be used by all the design teams in Skyworks to improve the performance of most cellphones today? As an RFIC design engineer on the IP team of our mobile solutions business, you’ll develop new RF technologies and RF IPs that are used across the company and work on developing RF front-end products. You’ll design RF circuits such as RF switches, LNAs, directional couplers, and PAs. You’ll explore, devise and prototype a variety of RF circuits to enhance the competitive position of our Mobile Solutions Business Unit. You’ll work closely with product teams to devise solutions that meet or exceed demanding customer requirements. #LI-DB1
Responsibilities
- Develop RFIC blocks including the design of RF Switches, LNAs, and PAs
- Collaborate with product development teams to collate requirements and then provide documentation and integration guides for IP developed
- Update existing IP designs to serve the needs of various product design teams
- Work directly on product development RFICs that are integrated into Skyworks RF front-end modules
- Device optimization to maximize RF circuit performance
- Work with process experts and foundries to drive RF performance
Required Qualifications
- MS + 12 years experince/PhD + 8 in EE or similar field
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Minimum 10 years RF design experience in Si/SOI/SiGe processes
- Experience designing RF LNAs and RF switches
- Experience in analog design for control of RF circuits such as temperature sensors, DACs, ADCs, TIAs, bandgaps, current sources, charge pumps, and voltage regulators
- Experience reviewing layouts and collaborating with layout designers
- Fluency in virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to GDSII
- Track record of designs that resulted in high-volume manufacturing
- Hands on experience using RF lab equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- PA design using GaAs HBT/HEMT
- Verilog-A modeling
- Hands on experience using analog lab equipment
- Python programming
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $143,000 - $286,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
