Description
The Supply Chain Specialist I / II plays a critical role in ensuring product availability and operational efficiency by developing accurate supply plans, optimizing inventory, and driving proactive resolutions. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, the ability to present insights to senior leadership, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The role focuses on balancing demand, supply, and capacity constraints while maintaining supplier commitments and supporting strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Automate Supply Chain KPI dashboards using Python, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
- Build Python/SQL workflows to extract, clean, and validate data from SAP, Kinaxis, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Develop short‑ and long‑term supply plans using analytics-driven forecasting, capacity data, and optimization models.
- Perform capacity planning and bottleneck analysis using SQL datasets, Python simulations, and LP-based optimization models (e.g., PuLP, Pyomo).
- Optimize inventory using automated safety stock, EOQ, and linear programming models for allocation, multi‑plant sourcing, and inventory positioning.
- Execute MPS/MRP in SAP and automate exception monitoring through Python scripts.
- Build automated alerts for supply risks, shortages, supplier delays, and inventory health.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally using data-driven insights, dashboards, and scenario analysis.
- Analyze supplier performance with SQL-driven scorecards, drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Generate automated S&OP reports, scenario simulations, and executive-ready visualizations.
- Manage NPI/EOL through SQL-based BOM readiness checks, phase‑in/out tracking, and material risk analytics.
Support digital transformation via automation, predictive analytics, and optimization modeling.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 or more years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or related functions.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Advanced Excel, SQL, Business Intelligence and planning tools (Kinaxis / SAP IBP / o9 / Blue Yonder).
- Solid understanding of MRP, inventory management, and forecasting principles.
