Introduction

Skyworks Taipei Design Center is seeking a 2025 PA IC Design Winter/Spring Co-Op. If you are looking for a challenging and exciting career in the world of technology, then look no further.  In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Working with experienced engineers to design/develop RFIC for Multi-chip modules
  • Designing RF power amplifiers
  • Running simulations using design tools such as Keysight ADS and Ansys HFSS
  • Participating and presenting in design reviews
  • Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolving design or technical issues
  • Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

Required Skills and Experience

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
  • Commitment to working on-site for up to 6 months
  • Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
  • Strong career interest in power amplifier design and RF/microwave engineering
  • Familiar with amplifier modes of operation: Class A, AB, C, E, F and load modulation techniques such as Doherty PA design
  • Familiar with DPD, and memory effects, and how those impact PA design
  • Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Keysight ADS
  • Hands-on experience in the lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments
  • Understanding in HBT technology
