Description
Summary:
- Be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a multidisciplinary team producing Acoustic Wave Filter products for a range of applications in the ever-expanding wireless communications market.
- Prepare and obtain approval for Capital, Expense and Human Resource plans to meet corporate business objectives and to ensure the objectives are met or exceeded.
- Manage the transfer of products from design through all stages of fabrication. This includes defining and meeting yield goals.
- Manage all aspects of associated equipment and facilities.
- Ensure corporate objectives are met concerning quality and reliability, delivery and cost.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and direct the activities of planning, production, equipment engineering and maintenance and associated support teams in a multi-shift 24x7 operation.
- Organize and direct the activities of process engineering for process sustaining and yield improvement of all Acoustic Wave Filter technologies.
- Ensure that the corporate culture of building in quality at every stage of the manufacturing process is recognized and implemented. Ensure adherence to the company’s procedures for the achievement of quality, reliability and customer returns goals.
- Define and implement plans to meet improved productivity goals, including appropriate investments to enable the operation to meet and exceed agreed financial objectives.
- Work closely with the R&D design and development engineering teams to bring new products, technologies and processes to market in a timely fashion with high yields and robust quality. This means also working with business unit leaders, program managers and marketing leads to be fully aware of the schedules for introducing such new products, technologies and processes.
- Collaborate with corporate and operational support functions on capacity and investment planning and on cost reduction roadmaps for Acoustic Wave Filter products.
- Plan and direct programs that constantly challenge existing practices. These programs will have as their objective, a high level of engagement of the workforce and the recognition that the organization will only flourish if it operates consistently on a financially sound basis.
- Develop and promote the culture of a safe and healthy work environment. Be aware of and drive actions to achieve corporate environmental objectives and targets. Ensure compliance to all local and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely reporting in accordance with corporate requirements.
- Develop succession plans that identify the talent to provide the leadership necessary in the future in order to continue to achieve the organization’s business objectives.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 15 years in a technology environment, including 10 years in a management role.
- University degree in technically relevant subject. A Master’s degree if preferred
- A solid track record in a semiconductor technology environment and ideally experience of Acoustic Wave Filter manufacturing operations.
- Highly desirable to have operated in an international environment, preferably with a US parent, with global customer and in-company contacts.
- Financial planning and specifically to be used to managing the financial aspects of a semiconductor manufacturing activity.
- Formal management training of some kind highly desirable

Individual development plans will need to be created and implemented to ensure the quality of the team’s resources improves over time.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess: (1) significant experience leading domestic fabrication operations, in a high-volume semiconductor or related environment; (2) demonstrated success leading an organizational transformation involving the integration of processes and systems; (3) a proven track record of integrating data and automation into manufacturing environments.
