Position Summary

 

As part of Skyworks’ global operations, the wafer manufacturing group supports the high-volume production of our wafers to meet the growing demand for our solutions. This team is committed to delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and differentiated products utilizing GaAs HBT and pHEMT technologies, in addition to supporting other fast-emerging processes. As a Factory Automation Systems Analyst, you'll provide a deep knowledge and understanding of the automation system architecture along with all associated transactional data. You will coordinate with teams from the Manufacturing Enterprise System and make sure programmed code follows the business logic flows necessary for semiconductor tools, (Automated Recipe Parameters, Naming Conventions). In addition, you will provide understanding, tracing, and debugging the routing of message fault events and should have a basic understanding of SECS/GEM. Also, you'll write up user case flowchart/diagrams after collaborating with tool operators and process engineers on effective automation processing for production. You will be coordinating with process engineers in both validation and training, utilizing the automation system. 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Collaborate with Automation Engineers, Process Engineers, Industrial Engineers and operations team to gather use case requirements and execute.

Able to build and follow flowcharts 

Review business flow scripts from automation platform

Work with the external Factory Automation contractors, IT team and equipment vendors as needed to facilitate SECS/GEM Communication is functioning as expected.

Debug and test end to end communication channels.

Utilize a SECS/GEM tool simulator to validate mock communications

Create text parsers to manipulate data and tool recipe files into a usable format

Establish data lookups in various databases via SQL

Load and validate semiconductor tool recipe files into Recipe Management system

Enter and look up semiconductor tool details in databases

Maintain the current suite of deployments while working with Factory Automation team and others to support enhancements, and additional priorities.

Responds to trouble calls, recognize, and identify and corrects developed software errors to maintain operational goals.   

Coordinate software updates for deployed tools with operations so as not to negatively impact manufacturing goals.

Training resource for factory automation systems.  Works with users to support knowledge of system, where possible, to encourage on shift resolution of issues.

Key Qualifications


Previous experience building semiconductor tool recipe validation checks within a Recipe Selection/Management Tool or standalone recipe validation applications

5 years of experience in Computer Integrated Manufacturing.  3 years working with PROMIS.

•    Experience with manufacturing enterprise systems (MES) (PROMIS)
•    Semiconductor Data Process Knowledge (Reticle Tracking, Chemical Tracking, Lot Disposition Reporting)
•    Intermediate networking and serial communication set up
•    Understanding of SECS/GEM communication and negotiation
•    Experience and troubleshooting skills working with semiconductor equipment external communications 
•    Experience understanding semiconductor tool faults
•    Experience working with databases and data extraction in Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Dataverse, etc.
•    Experience debugging software entry and exit communications tracing through various logs
•    Agile project management understanding

•    Experience utilizing tool simulations on SECSIM Pro +

Bachelors of Science in an Engineering Discipline
