The Compensation Manager is responsible for the Company’s Total Rewards programs for the United States, Canada and Europe regions in addition to owning core global compensation processes (e.g., Compensation Planning, Incentives, Salary Structures, Recognition, etc.) and collaborating with regional colleagues on global initiatives.  The incumbent functions as a subject matter expert in compensation, ensures data integrity of compensation systems and partners with HR and other constituents to effectively rollout HR initiatives. The position is also responsible for developing compensation-related employee communication and education programs and staying abreast of best practices and developments in applicable laws related to compensation.  The position, which resides in the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards

Responsibilities

 

  • Designs, develops and implements compensation policies, programs and procedures
  • Manages the company’s compensation function including salary, incentive, bonus plan and recognition, analysis and administration
  • Coordinates global compensation practices to ensure consistent approach where possible
  • Establishes salary structures, develops salary budgets, conducts job evaluations, participates in salary surveys and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation programs
  • Ensures appropriate benchmarking of jobs and assessment of competitive labor market trends
  • Oversees the planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual compensation planning review process via SuccessFactors globally
  • Develops and maintains job families and is responsible for global job family reviews and implementation
  • Serves as an advisor to HR Business Partners and leaders by providing guidance, education and coaching on compensation processes, guidelines, job descriptions, position evaluation and regulatory issues and compliance
  • Partners with HR Technology to improve the effectiveness of compensation administration and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborates on the design and approval of sales compensation plans
  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation, SOX and labor contracts that may affect compensation policies and administration
  • Conducts ad hoc reports, analysis and analytics

Qualifications/Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (CCP Certification a plus)
  • Experience with a multinational company (MNC) a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience (market data analysis strongly desired)
  • Experience with SuccessFactors, Employee Central or similar system preferred
  • Knowledge of HR processes (e.g., Performance Management, Merit Planning, Goal Setting)
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and outstanding analytical skills a must
  • Exceptional results orientation with a high degree of personal initiative and very hands on, flexible and customer centric attitude
  • Strong project management/organizational skills, detail orientation and ability to independently handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact successfully with all management levels
