Job Description

Wafer Probe Technician


An exciting opportunity exists to be part of our wafer probe engineering team. We are searching for a hands on individual who thrives in a fast paced dynamic manufacturing environment. As an Electro-Mechanical Technician you will be able to leverage your strong parametric RF/DC test or mechanical skills working on precision test and prober equipment.


Experience with Teradyne or Credence Test equipment as well as TEL or EG Probers a plus.


  • Works on a Compressed Work Week schedule in a Cleanroom environment
  • Trouble-shooting, repair, and performing preventative maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a wafer probe operation, which includes dismantling, adjusting, repairing and calibrating complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Reviews wafer maps and test data to make sure test equipment is working correctly.
  • Competency in using hand tools, Digital Volt Meters, as well as other diagnostic equipment used to perform trouble-shooting.
  • Clear understanding for Statistical Process Control and how it applies to manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Engages in equipment calibrations and preventative and predictive maintenance activities
  • Maintain Safe Work Environment and acts as a safety role model for others in the company
  • Assists Engineers with writing preventative maintenance procedures and schedules
  • Accurate record keeping on maintenance activities





• Knowledge and experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication processes and tools in Photolithography Process experience in a wafer manufacturing environment
• Statistical Process Control
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, written)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Must be a strong team player, detail-oriented, and perform well under pressure
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and FMEA desired


Associates degree in a technical discipline
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Semiconductor Environment
Skill Requirements:
(1) Microsoft Outlook and Office
(2) Manufacturing Execution System (e.g., PROMIS, Native PROMIS)
(3) Quality system Software (e.g., QSI)
(4) Statistical software (e.g., SPC, Encore, Jump, SQC, Data Power)
