Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs. Performs packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials. Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards. May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated. May assess draft and final label copy, using knowledge of labeling regulations. Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.

Summary
The QA Technician reports to the Quality Systems Organization and supports the Calibration recall activities of the USA Manufacturing sites, allowing the business to have confidence of the measurement equipment used throughout its product life cycle that help the process owners to make business decisions based on reliable data by performing the duties listed below.

Position Main Responsibilities
Maintenance of the Calibration Program
• Obtain quotes from calibration suppliers
• Generate request for purchase orders
• Work with equipment owners to arrange logistics to calibrate measurement equipment
• Adhere to established calibration protocols of the organization
• Update calibration recall system
• Support monitoring of calibration supplier activities
• Participates during internal and/or external audits
• Ensure that equipment is sent to the calibration supplier on time for calibration and notify end user when there is a delay or repair is necessary.

• Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Superior communications skills. Must be able to communicate and articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely both verbally and, in writing
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to operate Microsoft Office

Education
• High School Diploma or General Education Development required

Years of Experience
• 4 - 6 years of related experience preferred
