Sr Assembler 1

Performs a wide variety of electronic or electromechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. May perform rework and quality testing. Work typically includes interaction with design, development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel.

This is a highly skilled assembly position requiring experience assembling and soldering electrical components, systems and assemblies. Experience on components/assemblies, including PCBs and Circuit Boards, are encouraged.

Note: This is a temporary position for a 6-month duration. 

Primary responsibilities

  • Performing hand soldering of electronic assemblies, components and systems.
  • Experience with manual die attach including manual dispensing and die handling
  • Experience with manual and auto wire bonding preferred
  • Experience performing soldering under microscope
  • Ability to read and work from Assembly prints and schematics
  • Minding quality and detailed work, with precision and care

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, associated degree in technical field preferred.
  • Two+ years in an equipment and/or process technician role with extensive hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes including but not limited to die sorting, chip and wire or flip chip die attach, epoxy or solder dispense
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification for soldering
  • Experience with assembly of high-power RF products preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $23.41$40.72 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
