Job Description: 

Description

A Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving products, materials, or manufacturing processes. 

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Leads the development and optimization of manufacturing processes by designing new formulations, defining equipment requirements, and evaluating processing methods used in product.

Analyzes and interprets experiments results to establish process parameters, material specifications, and acceptable operating limits.

Also initiates and leads projects focused on introducing innovative concepts, automation technologies, and improved processing approaches to enhance existing or develop new processes.

Required Experience and Skills

Critical thinking
Process development and optimization
Engineering analysis and problem-solving
Materials selection and qualification
Data analysis and statistical methods (e.g., DOE, SPC)CAD and modeling tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Process validation and scale-up (pilot to production)
Root cause analysis (RCA, 8D, FMEA)

Desired Experience and Skills

  • Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Industrial, Chemical, or related Engineer degree BS
  • 2-3 years minimum experience on electronic manufacturing processes, semiconductor manufacturing is preferred like: SMT, Backgrinding, Dicing Saw, Laser Dicing, WLCSP-TNR, Die Attach, Wire Bond, Molding, Singulation, EMI Package Shielding or similar electronic assembly processes.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis & Design of Experiments
  • Experience with Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma or similar methodology.
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish/English), able to fluently communicate ideas & projects updates
  • Led supplier development and qualification activities for raw materials and manufacturing supplies, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
